The Wall of Sharks:

The Tumakohua pass is well known for its wall of 500 sharks and the wealth of its wildlife yet well preserved. A diver’s paradise in an Unesco Biosphere Reserve.

Night Dive:

Night action at the Tumakohua Pass at the Fakarava Atoll south passage. After the sun sets the reef changes into a giant dining table for the reef sharks. From Tetamanu village you jump right into the darkness above the reef. Instantly you are surrounded by hundreds of hunting sharks, just visible in the light cones of the diver’s torches. The footage from a 40 minutes night dive is compressed into a 5 minute video …

Blacktip Kindergarten:

The shallow reef at the Tetamanu village is a perfect sanctuary and a safe harbor for the countless baby blacktip sharks growing up before they eventually move into the channel to the wall of sharks as adults. There is always a treat for them from the village kitchen and restaurant.

Daytime Hunters:

A surprise encounter of hunting sharks at daytime at the end of our dive near the Tetamanu Village on the Fakarava Atoll when drifting out of the Tetamanu Pass.
